Do I need a developer to use Chia?
No. The dashboard lets you create plans, share subscribe links, and manage subscribers without writing a single line of code. If you want deeper integrations later, the SDK is there.
Which payment providers are supported?
PayChangu, PawaPay, and OneKhusa. Each covers different African markets and mobile money networks. You can use one or multiple providers.
How do customers subscribe?
You share a link. They enter their phone number, pick a plan, and confirm via their mobile money provider. The whole flow takes under a minute.
What happens when a payment fails?
Chia retries according to your billing rules. Subscribers move to past_due status and you get notified. You can configure retry intervals and grace periods.
Is my data safe?
Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Chia uses AES-256 encryption for sensitive credentials and stores data in isolated, org-scoped databases. Nothing is shared with third parties.
What does it cost?
Chia charges 2.9% per successful transaction. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no per-subscriber charges. You also pay your payment provider's gateway fees, passed through at cost.
